Your Upline: Good or Bad

Sometimes the challenge of every downline, is their upline.

What we're going to discuss now, is about your upline, or if you already have a downline, then this is about you and if you want to be an upline, this is for you as well.

An Upline should be a guide to every new members.

An upline is someone who should be the leader or they are the people above us. The one should be guiding you especially when you are a new member.

But what are the biggest challenge that we face as a member when it comes to our upline? I'm not an expert in Network Marketing but here are my experiences from my past uplines.

Number 1. They hype you, they will tell anything and everything flowery just to make you join the company. But they will start looking for another people to recruit after you joined. They don't care what you're going to do and the will give you this lame excuse, "You can live without an upline", "Your upline won't be there forever." It's true! But at least be there on our first day? We joined because they told us that they will help us to build! There are people who are like a child that you need to guide. Don't be pissed on your downline slowness. Not all people are the same. Most upline are trying so hard to "look" smart. This is what happened when a Turkey is the upline of an eagle.

Number 2. Your upline has the worst attitude. They really misunderstood that being a leader is different from being a boss. They won't take any advice or suggestion from their downline because they are UPline and we're just DOWNline. I asked an upline of mine before, "can you teach me how to approach people? I'm kinda nervous." Upline replied, "Sure, you can go with me when I'm having a prospect." But I did not know that at the back of the upline's mind, hated me, and even ruined me to people who don't even know me. And when we have a prospect that we want to meet our upline, they always come late and pretended to be a "very important person". That upline always hated my guts and told me that I don't have an attitude of gratitude and it almost caused me my relationship with my fiancé! My upline doesn't want me to succeed but I still respect that person because she's older. Hah! I'm a loving person! Am I? Haha

Number 3. Sabotage? Yeah, like lying, playing games? Some networking companies here in the Philippines teach their members how to lie to people. Posting an advertisement on social media "Job Hiring". Innocent people will be dying to apply and go to their offices, then they asked people to sit and hold their biodata or resume and they they start to present "how to earn" and asked them about the membership and when will they join! Insane, right? No, it's normal here. And companies are enjoying it. They have free advertisement and free full-time employees! People are Looking for a JOB! Not a business! They don't have the money to start a business! That's why they apply for a JOB! What part of JOB do you not understand? And why would you ask people to do full-time in your business?

There is no JOB in NETWORK MARKETING but WORK!

We are an individual business owners.

You have read my complains, yes? Some will say, oh! I can relate! Sure, as long as you're in the Philippines. Haha!

As a first timer, we are bound to be hyped by these people. It's our first time, right? We do crazy stuff without knowing the truth. We believed everything they say because we trust them. We trusted with them our money, we trusted them our time, and we trusted them with our success. And they failed us. No, wait. We failed ourselves because we trusted so much without searching the truth. We took for granted every chance we have by depending on our upline. We forgot that we are individual business owners. Our success depends on us, depends how we work for our dreams to reach our goals.

This world is full of abusive people, "opportunists", users. We may be one of their victims if we let them be the predators. We can't blame them for what they are. That's their nature. It's either we partake their nature or we create our own environment for the good of our future leaders. People hate people who make them feel threatened. They may hate you because they see you as a danger or threat. They will ruin you too. It's up to us to fight back professionally. Hating them back won't take us to our dreams. It will pull us down deeper than we first met them.

No matter how hateful they are to us, we still should be thankful. Why? 1 Peter 1:7 says, "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire..." Gold refined by fire. The real gold stays, but fake gold doesn’t. Fire will make us shine. Every precious gemstone is refined by fire that is why they are expensive.

There's no Beauty if there is no Beast.
